Silver Lake Partners, the US buyout firm, is considering a takeover of Tandberg, a Norwegian maker of video-conferencing gear, reprising a deal it abandoned at the depths of the credit crisis, people familiar with the matter say.
It was not immediately clear what the terms of any possible deal would be, including whether Silver Lake would bid with a partner. If a deal is struck at a typical premium to the current share price, it could value Tandberg at more than $2bn (€1.4bn).
