Sir Howard Davies, former chairman and chief executive of the UK's Financial Services Authority, is set to join the board of directors at Morgan Stanley in April.

Davies, who stood down from his position at the FSA in September last year, will become a non executive director at the Wall Street firm provided shareholders back his nomination at the April annual stockholders' meeting.
