Billionaire investor and philanthropist Sir John Templeton has died of pneumonia, aged 95, at a hospital in the Bahamas.

Templeton, a naturalised British citizen who lived in Nassau, became a billionaire in 1960s, pioneering the use of globally diversified mutual funds through his Templeton Growth investment fund.
