SIS losses pinned on GSTPA failure

SIS Swiss Financial Services Group, the securities services provider, has recorded a loss of Sfr32m (€21.2m), following a Sfr40m write-off in December 2002 due to the failure of the Global Straight Through Processing Association (GSTPA).

SIS's Swiss securities depository subsidiary, SegaInterSettle, was one of the consortium that built the GSTPA's matching engine and transaction flow manager.
