Six banks win share of $15bn securities lending mandate

The California Public Employees Retirement System (Calpers), the world's largest pension fund, has conducted a securities lending auction of $15bn (€14.8bn) of international equities.

Six financial institutions submitted winning bids during the auction, including Barclays Capital, Bear Stearns Securities, Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB), Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.
