Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom is launching its first office in the Middle East, with the New York legal giant picking Abu Dhabi for its regional debut. 

Skadden has hired corporate partner Michael Hilton from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to spearhead the launch of the Abu Dhabi office, according to people familiar with the matter.
