Slaughter and May has hired the lawyer who is leading Danske Bank's response to the investigations into alleged money laundering at its Estonian branch.

Gayathri Kamalanathan will become a partner in Slaughter and May's disputes and investigations group. She is only the fifth person to join the firm as a partner; the vast majority of partners are promoted from the ranks.
