Ashurst, the international corporate law firm, has appointed Simon Small from rival Linklaters. He joins as a senior partner in the securities team.

Small has been a partner at Linklaters for 10 years, and specialises in both corporate and residential mortgage-backed securities and future flow transactions, which are investments based on the securitisation of future income.
