SocGen appoints private bank COO

Karim Hajjaji has been appointed chief operating officer of Gims, Societe Generale's private banking, asset management and securities services division. He will join the executive management team and retain his current duties as chief financial officer. Hajjaji began his career as a quantitative research analyst for market activities at GRO/Credit Lyonnais, and has worked at Braxton Consulting and Dresdner France. Hajjaji joined Societe Generale in 1999 as head of financial control at the corporate and investment bank, and has held a number of different roles in the group since.
