Société Générale has appointed Alain Clot as chief executive of SG Asset Management completing its reorganisation of Global Investment Management and Services, which combines asset management, private banking, settlement and custody.

Clot's appointment will relieve Philippe Collas, who had been both chairman and chief executive of SGAM. After the creation of Global Investment Management and Services in February, Collas became chairman of the entire operation, as well as deputy chief executive of the Société Générale group.
