Trade buyer snaps up Sophis for €435m

Advent International auction to software giant shows potential sign that trade buyers are 'becoming more active'

Trade buyers are growing "more active" in auctions in what could be positive news for private equity firms that have been reliant on secondary buyers so far this year for deal-flow.

Advent International has sold trading technology company Sophis, a Dublin-based software provider, to a trade buyer for €435m including debt, after putting the company on the market in June.
