Hedge fund Sorin Capital Management hired a former Bear Stearns head of repo financing activities as chief operating officer, partner and member of the investment committee in an effort to grow its investment platform.

In his new role, Matt Chasin will be responsible for all non-investment activities, focusing on the operational and financial aspects of the firm, as well as managing all borrowing relationships and activities for the Sorin funds.
