Sorry, Britain, the EU has bigger problems than Brexit

Paris and Berlin at loggerheads over a potential no-deal as the extension sucks up the EU's policy oxygen

Last week, a few hours before European Union leaders came to their Solomonic judgment on pushing back the date the UK will leave the EU, a cautious Mario Draghi described the possible impact of Brexit on Europe’s economy.

“The whole discussion, which has lasted now many years, really, is part and parcel of the overall uncertainty that is hanging over our continent,” the president of the European Central Bank said.
