South Africa denies excluding Deutsche from bond issue

Maria Ramos, director general of the South African Treasury, has said that the Republic did not eject Deutsche Bank from its new bond issue in the wake of an enquiry into the rand's collapse last year.

Barclays Capital and JP Morgan ran South Africa's new $1bn (€1.1bn) 10-year global bond issue. Standard Bank, one of South Africa's biggest capital markets players, played a syndicate role.
