S&P trims Standard Life Aberdeen rating over insurance sale

Ratings agency does not anticipate any near-term improvement in outflows at the £610bn fund manager

S&P trims Standard Life Aberdeen rating over insurance sale

Standard & Poor's has cut the credit rating of UK investment giant Standard Life Aberdeen on concerns about the sale of its insurance business.

The move to lower SLA's long-term creditworthiness from 'A' to 'A-' comes a year after the £610bn fund manager was formed by the merger of the insurer Standard Life and Aberdeen Asset Management.
