Spanish savings banks mull rival bid for Zaragozano

A group of four Spanish savings banks is considering a competing bid for Banco Zaragozano after UK rival Barclays made a €1.1bn ($1.3bn) offer for the Spanish bank.

El Monte, Unicaja, Caja San Fernando and La General de Granada are mulling their options after the board of Zaragozano voted to accept Barclays' offer of €13.20 a share.
