Spencer House links up with storied Wall Street name

Advisory boutique founded by Jacob Rothschild forges alliance with family-owned Loeb Partners Corporation

Spencer House links up with storied Wall Street name

Spencer House Partners, an advisory boutique founded by Jacob Rothschild, has forged a transatlantic alliance with one of the last privately-held Wall Street firms, Loeb Partners, in a bid to create an asset management M&A adviser firm with global clout.

Spencer House, set up in 2006, has advised on deals including the acquisition of BlueBay Asset Management by Canada's Royal Bank of Canada, and minority investors buying into Scottish fund manager Martin Currie between 2007 and 2010, prior to the firm's sale to Legg Mason.
