Square Mile hiring slumps 40% due to Brexit

The number of those looking for a new role in the City fell by 28%, recruiter says

Job creation in the City has been severely dented by the UK’s impending exit from the European Union, with the number of new jobs coming to market plummeting, the latest figures show.

According to data from City recruiter Morgan McKinley, released on December 11, the number of new jobs advertised in the Square Mile dropped by almost 40% year on year, with the number of those looking for a new role falling by 28%.
