State Street Global Advisors has lost its first hedge fund manager since the firm began building a dedicated hedge fund business in May. The manager was on State Street's payroll for less than a year.

Yacine Bechikh, who joined State Street in London from BNP Paribas in September last year left SSgA in April but remained on the payroll through the summer until his contractual notice period came to an end.
