State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has transferred Mark Hooker, deputy head of its Advanced Research Centre (ARC) in Boston, to Europe to form a similar group

The ARC develops SSgA's investment process and provides quantitative analysis for use across the firm's range of services. Kanesh Lakhani, marketing director, says: "ARC co-ordinates our research efforts and provides a lot of the heavy lifting. Its work reassures clients and consultants that our process will continue to outperform."
