State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has held on to its position as the world's largest fund manager after it increased its fund inflows last year, according to the annual Pensions & Investments' (P&I) money manager survey.
In 2002, the Boston-based firm received $78bn (€65.5bn) in net new contributions, compared with $67bn in 2001, making it the largest asset manager with $745bn in assets at the start of 2003.
