St James Capital sees 11% growth in new business

St James Place Capital, the wealth management specialist, has seen an 11% growth in total new business in the year 2001.

The firm, formerly called J Rothschild Assurance, acts as a holding company for J Rothschild's pooled funds, two of which were the top two performers over the last twelve months, according to the latest results from Caps, the performance measurer. The J Rothschild (GAM) balanced fund ranked first with a 12.8% return, while the J Rothschild (Schroder) fund produced -5.5% against the -11.9% balanced median.
