St James Place grows new business by 55%

St James Place Capital, the wealth manager controlled by UK bank HBOS, recorded its best quarter to date for business wins and saw 55% new growth in the six months to June 30, on the back of strong life and pensions sales.

The wealth manager made £161m (€233m) worth of new sales in the first six months and said it would likely exceed its 20% growth target by the end of the year.
