John St John has made his first hire since joining Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) as global head of equity capital markets with the recruitment of Doug Rediker, a former colleague from Lehman Brothers.

Rediker joins as a managing director in ECM responsible for telecoms and emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining DrKW he ran International Capital Strategies, his own consulting firm, and between 2000 and 2002 he was a managing director of TD Capital Communications Partners, the private equity arm of Toronto Dominion Bank, with responsibility for establishing the Canadian company's European operations.
