The staffing issues that rocked the City regulator a few years ago are now behind it, the head of the Financial Conduct Authority has said.

Plans for a radical overhaul to pay and benefits at the watchdog saw staff picket the FCA’s headquarters for the first time ever in 2022. Staff continued to demand union recognition after the changes came into force the following year, with internal polling showing widespread dissatisfaction with pay.
