Standard Chartered appoints loan syndications head

Standard Chartered has appointed Cristian Jonsson as global head of loan syndications, effective January 1. Jonsson will be based in Singapore, and will lead a global team. He has been with the bank since 2009 as global head of bond syndicate and also holds the role of regional head of capital markets for Southeast Asia. He succeeds Philip Cracknell who will retire from the bank at the end of March. Jonsson will be succeeded as head of global bond syndicate by Aaron Russell-Davison, the current head of Asia debt syndicate who has been with the bank since 2009. Based in Singapore, he will also join the capital markets management committee.
