Standard Chartered Private Bank has appointed Shayne Nelson as its new global head, while the current chief executive Peter Flavel moves to a new position at the bank.

Nelson, currently regional chief executive of Standard Chartered in the Middle East and North Africa, has been with the bank since 1997. Like Flavel, Nelson is an Australian.
