Standard Chartered compliance boss placed on leave

The group head of compliance at Standard Chartered has "been placed on leave with immediate effect", according to a spokesman for the bank.

Neil Barry's departure, announced on Friday, comes three years after the American former lawyer had relocated to London from the bank's Singapore office to take on the role.
