Standard Chartered has appointed a senior Deutsche Bank executive to run its transaction banking operation, which was responsible for a significant profit boost for the bank in its latest results.

The London-listed bank has appointed Lisa Robins as global head of transaction banking, it announced this week. She will be based in Singapore and report to Simon Cooper, chief executive of corporate and institutional banking.
