Standard Chartered is offering 75,000 employees the chance to work from home permanently, in the latest sign that the Covid-19 crisis has overhauled the way large investment banks operate.

The UK lender told employees on 5 November that it was moving to "hybrid" approach for 90% of its employees, offering the chance to split time between the office and working remotely.
