Standard Chartered Private Bank sees surge in ultra-HNW clients

More than 25% of Standard Chartered Private Bank clients are ultra-high worth individuals, with assets of at least $25m, according to Peter Flavel, the Singapore-based chief executive of the private bank.

Flavel said that nearly all of these clients had come through the bank's wholesale banking division, which had proven to be an extremely productive referral system for the private banking operations.
