Standard Chartered scraps academic requirements again for new apprentice push

Standard Chartered has launched another apprenticeship with no need for academic qualifications in a bid to bolster the number of recruits from lower socio-economic backgrounds in highly-competitive front office jobs.

The UK lender has extended its client coverage apprenticeship programme to its corporate banking unit, after launching the scheme in its sales and trading division in July last year.
