Somerset County Council has hired Standard Life Investments and UBS Global Asset Management to run £205m (€307m) as part of a restructuring of its £680m pension fund.

Standard Life has been awarded £175m to invest in UK equities, while UBS Global is to invest £30m in Far East stocks.
