Standard Life Investments, the UK asset manager that has built a reputation as an active shareholder, has hired the head of sustainable ownership from one of the country’s largest pension funds. 

Deborah Gilshan, who joined RPMI Railpen in 2007, will become governance and stewardship director at the Edinburgh-based asset manager, according to a January 24 statement. She will report to Euan Stirling, head of stewardship & ESG investment.
