Standard Life Investments (SLI) has appointed Andrew Milligan to take over from Ken Forman as head of strategy and is looking for a permanent head of global stock selection.

Milligan will formally take over from Forman on January 1. Milligan will play a leading role in asset allocation decisions, which SLI considers a critical element of its investment style. Formerly, he was director of economic research and business risk at Morley Fund Management, responsible for asset allocation recommendations and monthly strategy process meetings.
