UK insurer Standard Life saw net outflows of £3.7bn in the first half of the year, with withdrawals from its flagship fund weighing on performance at its asset management business.

Total assets under administration were £362bn, a 1% rise on £357bn at the end of 2016, according to its interim results. The small increase was driven by positive market movements and investment returns, it said.
