Standard Life sells steelmaker stake

Standard Life Investments, the largest shareholder in Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus, has sold its stake for £500m (€764m) following the successful bid from India's Tata Steel.

The fund manager, which holds about 2% of the UK stock market, had increased its stake in Corus to 7.5% during the past two months, according to share ownership tracking service Citywatch Global.
