The fixed-income team at Standard Life Investments is strengthening its links with other parts of the company and plans to take on two extra staff.

Rod Paris, head of global fixed interest, has brought in Graeme Orr to bring his team closer to the firm's treasury business. Paris believes his hire will assist in the development of structured products and funds based on the London interbank offered rate. He says: "The daily trading experience of our treasury department gives us invaluable insight into capital market conditions and financial sector drivers."
