Guy de Blonay, the New Star manager regarded as one of the most prominent financials specialists in the UK investment industry, is set to return to his former employer Jupiter Asset Management to work alongside the highly-rated Philip Gibbs.

De Blonay will join Jupiter in January, according to a statement from Jupiter published yesterday. Contractual obligations mean he will initially join in an advisory capacity, before running money alongside the company's other financials managers Philip Gibbs and Robert Mumby.
