City heavyweights have welcomed Labour’s landslide general election victory, but have called on the new government to stimulate more investment in unloved UK companies.
New prime minister Sir Keir Starmer and his chancellor Rachel Reeves spent months in the run up to the general election on 4 July courting City leaders, who warmed to Labour’s pro-business approach.
