US custody giant State Street has hired industry veteran Daemon Bear into its investment research and trading arm in London.

Bear joined State Street Global Markets as head of equity and fixed-income trading and portfolio solutions on January 2, after just over two-and-a-half months as head of execution services at boutique brokerage Olivetree Securities, according to the UK Financial Services Authority register.
