State Street has revealed a smaller gender pay gap than many of its financial sector peers, as the deadline for publishing figures approaches.

Women employed by the firm earn a median 18.3% less per hour than their male colleagues, figures published on Tuesday show, while women were awarded bonuses that were 39% lower on a median basis than men working at the firm.
