State Street’s Emea head wants the regulation ‘treadmill’ to stop

Ann Prendergast says the fund management sector has had to contend with ‘a significant amount’ of upheaval over the past few years

State Street Global Advisors’ head of Emea Ann Prendergast has said asset managers need time to catch up with a slew of new regulatory demands.

“We have seen a significant amount of regulation over the past few years,” said Prendergast, who took over as head of Emea for State Street Global Advisors in November.
