Stephen Morse, the former head of compliance at Barclays who was this week name-checked by Jerry del Missier in his testimony to the Treasury Select Committee over Libor fixing, now holds the top compliance job at Canada’s second-largest bank.
Morse quit Barclays after eight years in October 2011 to "pursue other opportunities", according to an internal memo circulated at the time. Yesterday, a person familiar with the matter said that Morse had moved to a financial services firm "outside of Europe".
