City veterans launch P2P investment fund

Former head of UK's crisis-era toxic asset protection scheme for banks teams with ex-bankers to launch a fund focused on marketplace lending

City veterans launch P2P investment fund

The former chairman of challenger bank One Savings and chief executive of the Treasury unit that oversaw the UK’s crisis-era scheme to insure hundreds of billions of pounds of toxic bank assets has teamed up with two veteran City bankers to launch a fund investing in loans originated on peer-to-peer platforms.

The launch of Rozes Invest, a fintech investment manager for marketplace lending, comes as the fledgling alternative finance sector has been attracting growing interest from institutional investors against a backdrop of curtailed bank capital availability.
