The former chairman of challenger bank One Savings and chief executive of the Treasury unit that oversaw the UK’s crisis-era scheme to insure hundreds of billions of pounds of toxic bank assets has teamed up with two veteran City bankers to launch a fund investing in loans originated on peer-to-peer platforms.
The launch of Rozes Invest, a fintech investment manager for marketplace lending, comes as the fledgling alternative finance sector has been attracting growing interest from institutional investors against a backdrop of curtailed bank capital availability.
