Steptoe & Johnson boosts EU capacity

Steptoe & Johnson, the US law firm, has opened a new office in Brussels with a view to winning more competition, telecoms and technology mandates.

The firm has had a small presence in Brussels since 2000, but has now moved to a new office and is building up its presence there. Kees Kuilwijk is running the new office. The main areas of practice are European technology, trade and e-commerce law, which includes EU competition and telecoms law, EU trade and World Trade Organisation law, and data, consumer and copyright protection.
