Bullied ex-Cantor broker joins Tradition

A City broker who successfully sued his former employer for constructive dismissal in 2003, will lead Tradition's push in Europe

A broker who successfully sued Cantor Fitzgerald for bullying and constructive dismissal in a lawsuit that highlighted bad behaviour in the City of London seven years ago, has joined Tradition, the Paris-based inter-dealer broker.

Steven Horkulak has been appointed managing director for Europe at Tradition as the firm seeks to win business from rivals Icap, GFI and Tullett Prebon. He is tasked with improving the firm's presence in continental Europe, a role he filled previously at rival Tullett Prebon. Horkulak also specialised in interest rate swaps at Tullett and Cantor, an area where Tradition hopes to expand.
