Strategist nibbles on US stocks for first time in five years

Percival Stanion, head of strategy at Baring Asset Management, is nibbling at US stocks for the first time in more than five years as sentiment among asset managers towards North America starts to improve.

Stanion turned negative on the US after deciding its share ratings were overcooked in 2004, preferring to opt for an overweight position, or investing more than the benchmark allocation, in Asian equities in succeeding years.
