SunGard is linking up with Visual Trader Systems, the technology subsidiary of the Madrid Stock Exchange, to develop an interface between the Bolsa de Madrid network and SunGard's Transaction Network for equity order routing.

The link-up will provide users of the Madrid exchange with greater access to foreign markets, especially in the US, through SunGard's existing global platform. Under the agreement equity orders and associated messages will be routed seamlessly between brokers and their counterparties on both networks.
