Super-rich families to boost private equity exposure

Wealthy investors are keener on private equity funds following record returns last year

Some of the world’s richest families plan to increase the amount of money they invest in private equity after the asset class delivered stellar returns this year.

A survey conducted by Swiss bank UBS and Campden Wealth of 311 family offices, with average assets under management of $808m, found half of respondents planned to increase the amount they invest in private equity-style direct investments. More than a third said they plan to invest more cash in private investment funds.
